About Dr. Z. J. Chen:
Dr. Z. J. Chen is trained in both western and Eastern Medicine. He has graduated from 8 years of Medical School in China and has practiced acupuncture for 38 years. He taught acupuncture at Lubeck Medical University of West Germany and Florida Institute of Acupuncture in late 80's and early 90's.
Dr. Chen has been trained extensively in nutrition, herbs, and acupuncture as well as orthodox medicine. He is currently a North Carolina State licensed acupuncturist and also a Nationally Certified Diplomat of Acupuncture (NCCAOM). Before he started his own practice, he worked at Blue Ridge Clinical Associate in both Raleigh and Chapel Hill office with physicians and PT.s for the past seven years.
He has lectured at UNC and Duke Medical schools, Programs on Aging, Cornucopia House, UNC Medical School sponsored Cancer Symposium, Herb Conference and NC Acupuncture Association sponsored conference and other continuing education programs. He also has lectured on conference of UNC School of Public Health, School of Nursing and UNC Memorial Hospital and Rax Hospital in Raleigh. He also has been invited to the People's Pharmacy radio talk show sponsored by Joe and Terry Graedon at WUNC radio station. His Clinic has been selected for UNC medical residents and students to learn alternative medicine.
He has practiced acupuncture and alternative medicine in the Triangle area in the last 28 years.
